Linemap Draw Available in Revised and Extended Version
LineMap Draw is a program for creating line network plans. The finished plans can be scaled and printed or saved. LineMap Draw is available in several versions. The new version simplifies the user-friendly creation of line network plans.
Buxtehude, Niedersachsen, Germany., August 25, 2021 -- A line map (route network plan, also known as a web spider), is used to schematically depict public transport networks. Different colors are used to distinguish individual lines. Normally, topographical accuracy is not required in order to achieve a clear and space-saving design, and the lines run only horizontally, vertically or diagonally at an angle of 45°.
With LineMap Draw, the time-consuming and thus cost-intensive creation of line maps can be carried out using LineMap Draw by yourself. LineMap Draw is an efficient alternative to image processing or vector graphics programs.
With LineMap Draw, the existing stations and lines are first entered and assigned accordingly. Afterwards, various maps can be created, for example, for the overall network, the high-speed rail network or the night network. To create a line map, first define the map settings. This includes, for example, image size, colors, background image, fonts, text spacing and alignment, as well as the properties of station symbols. Then the lines are drawn, and the stations are positioned.
For the output, the line map can be scaled to the desired size. Since the line map is completely redrawn on resize, the loss of quality - for example fuzzy edges - can be avoided.
The line network plans can also serve as the basis for printed plans, which are then supplemented with additional graphics and design elements. Of course, the plans can also be pasted directly into other applications such as word processing or image editing.
In the new version 1.2 of LineMap Draw it is now possible to delete single line segments. Furthermore it is possible to enlarge or reduce the size of single line segments. Line segments can now also be moved. Stations positioned on the line segments are preserved as far as possible.
LineMap Draw is available in five editions (Home, S, M, L and XL) which differ in the supported image resolution. While the smallest version "LineMap Draw Home" is suitable for internet projects in the leisure/hobby sector, the largest version "LineMap Draw XL" can even create line network plans in A0 or larger format. Since the viewing distance usually increases with increasing size, the resulting line map can even be used for large-format posters.
LineMap Draw requires one of the current Windows versions 7,8 and 10. Prices range from 29 Euro for the home version to 249 Euro for the XL version.
Further information and a free demo version can be found at www.en.ptraffic.net.

Quiet Thunder Publishing Releases Armenian Historical Fiction "Destiny of Dreams: Time Is Dear"
Quiet Thunder Publishing releases a new historical fiction. Horrific, but true. Sad, but inspiring. These few words describe noted non-fiction author Cathy Burnham Martin's first novel, "Destiny of Dreams: Time Is Dear." Linking past and present, this painfully poignant, true story tells the story of the author's Armenian ancestors' harrowing struggle to survive extraordinary chaos in the waning days of the Ottoman Empire, eerily paralleling rising violence and intolerance around the world today.
Manchester, New Hampshire, United States., August 26, 2021 -- Amidst chaos in Afghanistan, the Syrian refugee crisis, and increasing firefights along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border in Asia, Quiet Thunder Publishing releases a new book highlighting the deeply ingrained fortitude and resolve of the Armenian people, now scattered across the globe. Destiny of Dreams: Time Is Dear marks the first historical novel from acclaimed nonfiction author Cathy Burnham Martin. Starting in the early 1900s, past and present link within a painfully poignant, true story of an Armenian family struggling to survive extraordinary chaos and violence in the waning days of the Ottoman Empire. The haunting, new novel follows the Gulumian family, one of thousands who struggled amidst the first genocide of the 20th Century.
In telling the author’s own family story, the characters breathe life into the realities of political and social upheaval. K.C. Finn, a Readers’ Favorite reviewer says, “Author Cathy Burnham Martin is a master at storytelling, balancing the darker and more disturbing aspects of the story with hope and positivity.”
The unrest at the time eerily parallels modern-day struggles with intolerance, serving up a vital reminder of the importance of remembering even the harshest events in history. The author adds, “I hope my labor of love puts a relatable face on man’s inhumanity to man. No culture should ever forget the painful chapters in history, or we risk repeating them in future generations.”
Indies Today notes, “The elegantly intertwined journey through time periods intersects in ways both heartbreaking and heartwarming. Two stories unified by one spirit, Destiny of Dreams: Time Is Dear is not simply a story of strife, but it is a beautiful portrayal of faith, inner strength, and dignity.”
A choice read for history buffs, Destiny of Dreams: Time Is Dear provides a fast read with 276 pages in the paperback. Though some explicit descriptions and a couple of disturbing, though not graphic, violent scenes may be unsuitable for young readers, the retiring Chief Medical Officer of Concord Hospital, Dr. David Green observed the book’s cultural and sociopolitical relevance, stating that this “should be required reading for all American high school students.”

Antech deliver Fluid Transfer Trolleys for Rail Application
Antech Hydraulics Limited is proud to announce the completion of a bespoke design and build project utilising Settima screw pumps for rail applications.
Lancashire, August 5, 2021 -- Antech Hydraulics Limited is proud to announce the completion of a bespoke design and build project utilising Settima screw pumps for rail applications.
Antech designed and manufactured three air operated fluid transfer trolleys for use in the rail industry following a request from a leading company working with clients within the rail sector. The three trollies, which are suitable for the transfer of hydraulic oil, engine oil and coolant fluid, have been colour coded to aid clarity of fluid use and to avoid cross contamination.
Following the urgent enquiry, the trollies were designed within 1 week and went straight into production at the manufacturing facility in Lancashire. Despite international supply chain issues and the project coinciding with a national lockdown, manufacturing was completed, and the project delivered after just 12 weeks. This time frame also included shipping the Settima screw pumps from Italy where they are manufactured.
The type of pumps used were the Settima SMT16B that are pumps for industrial use at low and medium pressure (40 bar). SMT16B pumps represent a reliable and low noise component for many industrial applications where long-life pump and low cost are required. The main challenge for Antech was to match the seals and the body materials to the fluid being pumped.
The pump body and the design of the screws avoids any axial load. The functional pressure develops some tolerance between the balancing piston of the main screw and the surrounding body. This creates a balancing hydrodynamic force of the screws and, at the same time, lubricates and cools down the sealing parts.
The units are a low pressure, low noise Settima screw pump producing 12 lpm of flow. Each pump was individually tailored to meet the characteristics of the fluid, so seals, material and tolerances were matched to specific fluid needs. This ensures long life and smooth low pulsation operations. Driven by an air motor, the pumps transfer oil from 50 litre reservoirs into the clients rolling stock in the workshop or at trackside. The hydraulic oil trolley was additionally fitted with 5-micron filtration.
Following the success of this initial project, Antech has also received further sales enquiries from the same customer looking to acquire further trollies with larger reservoirs and utilising two Settima screw pumps per trolly.
Established in 1994, Antech Hydraulics Limited is an independently owned company who specialise in system design and hydraulic components. They offer solutions from industry leading manufacturers such as Settima, Staffa, Kawasaki, B&C, UFI, NTF, Des Case and LJM. They also produce their own bespoke products and engineer solutions to cater for client’s specific projects.
UNDP successfully completed the Acceptance Test of Angstrom’s Solar-to-Hydrogen Micro-grid Project
The United Nations Development Program (UNDP) successfully completed the Acceptance Test of Angstrom’s Solar-to-Hydrogen Micro-grid Project.
Stoughton, MA., August 5, 2021 -- In July 2021, the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) successfully completed the acceptance test of the hydrogen-based micro-grid project. This project was designed and constructed by the Angstrom team. It established a hydrogen-based renewable energy storage system to break through the bottleneck associated with the utilization of unstable renewable energy (such as solar and wind power) and made a big stride forward to the hydrogen-based community.
Commercialized megawatt-scale containerized water-electrolysis hydrogen generators, skid-mounted hydrogen refueling stations, and big data platforms that are developed by Angstrom are making it feasible for establishing and implementing hydrogen energy communities or hydrogen cities. The success of this project also proves the possibility of “Hydrogen Energy Communities” or “Hydrogen Cities”. In such a scenario, hydrogen would be the critical medium in bringing together renewable energy (solar, wind, hydro, etc.), power, heat and utilities, and the ability for grid peak-shift. Additionally, hydrogen can be used as a backup power source, as well as fuel for Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles (FCVs).
The ultimate goal of the “Hydrogen Energy Communities'' is to take advantage of hydrogen as a clean, zero-emission energy source to achieve sustainable development, as well as carbon neutrality. To date, Angstrom has designed and constructed solar/wind hydrogen-based energy storage micro-grid projects in Massachusetts, USA and Jiangsu, China.
Hydrogen is a very valuable alternative to fossil fuel for distributed energy generation, delivering a high-powered solution with minimal environmental and safety concerns. Green businesses, telecomm providers, governments, and renewable energy advocates can now produce on-demand energy for their assets, at minimal cost and using commercially available equipment.
