“Dreamland Awaits” A new Indie Arthouse Horror is coming from Hungary with an international cast shot in English language

"Dreamland Awaits" is a new indie arthouse horror film from Hungary. Produced by Full Screen Films,

Budapest Hungary., June 14, 2024 - "Dreamland Awaits" is a new indie arthouse horror film from Hungary. Produced by Full Screen Films, this micro-budget movie was created by award-winning indie filmmakers Demeter Lorant (director, writer, editor) and Gábor Sz. Nagy (producer).

Filmed in just 10 days by a dedicated three-man crew in the Hungarian countryside, the story unfolds in a creepy house where the protagonist must stay for several days, completing tasks for a stranger who has kidnapped his family. The film combines elements of "The Babadook" and "Jacob’s Ladder," with a hint of Lovecraftian horror. The movie was shot at the end of April and is in post-production, the planned release is the fall of 2024.

Logline: In the house of nightmares, every instruction is a step closer to saving his family... or losing himself.

The movie features Nicolas Hackenberg, a French actor residing in Hungary, in his first leading role. Previously, he has appeared in "Fauda," "FBI International," and various other TV series and films. Working with him was a unique experience, as he carries the film with more than two-thirds of the scenes focusing solely on him. This made for a challenging shoot, with minimal downtime as he was constantly on camera and in character. He delivered an outstanding performance as Josh, the cop whose family has been kidnapped.

Rebecka Johnston (“Midsommar”, “The Strangers - Chapter 1.”) plays the owner of the house where the majority of the movie is set, she is a very talented Swedish actress living in Budapest, Hungary.

Short synopsis: Josh, a seasoned but troubled detective, has spent 20 years confronting life's darkest corners, shaping him into a hardened man. Now, he faces his greatest challenge: his wife and two daughters have been kidnapped by a mysterious figure. To save them, Josh must follow the stranger's commands, move into an empty house, remain unnoticed, and complete a series of tasks.

The house, a gateway to a dark dimension, begins to consume the reality around Josh, driving him toward insanity. As he navigates this perilous journey, he confronts a terror even more frightening—his own dark side.

Brian Crombie Serves Notice of Libel, Legal Claim against CBC, Organizers of Three Mississauga Mayoral Election Debates

Candidate Crombie uses Ontario's new "False Light" Tort, seeks triple damages and double legal costs under Statute of Monopolies for exclusion from debates.

MISSISSAUGA, ONTARIO, CANADA., June 7, 2024 -   Mississauga's June 10, 2024 Mayoral By-election candidate Brian Crombie has served a Notice of Libel and Legal Claim against the organizers, sponsors and several of their officers and directors of three Mayoral debates including the CBC, More Homes Mississauga, newsBeyond Inc, polling company Mainstreet Research, and the University of Toronto Mississauga ("UTM") for also violating Ontario's University Free Speech Policy.

The three debates that excluded Brian Crombie were:

More Homes Mississauga debate between Dipika Damerla and Alvin Tedjo on May 13 at the UTM.

newsBeyond Inc, Mainstreet Research, Aurora Strategy Global and the University of Toronto Mississauga’s Student Union mayoral candidates debate with Dipika Damerla, Stephen Dasko and Alvin Tedjo on May 27th at the UTM Student Centre.

CBC Toronto mayoral candidates debate with Dipika Damerla, Stephen Dasko and Alvin Tedjo on May 30th at the Mississauga Living Arts Centre and streamed online.

All three of these Debates excluded Brian Crombie and violated his Canadian Charter of Rights and Ashby v. White common law rights, placing him in a "false light" by doing so, which is now recognized in Ontario as a fourth form of Libel.

As a result he suffered substantial damages including monetary damages for which he served notice he will file a STATEMENT OF CLAIM and seek "Double Legal Costs" on a "Full Indemnity basis" and "Triple Damages" in accordance with the Ontario Statute of Monopolies.

Legal Grounds and Claims:

1. Violation of Charter Rights and Common Law Precedents:

o Brian Crombie's exclusion from the debates is a violation of his rights under Section 2 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms, particularly his freedoms of expression, peaceful assembly and association.

o Ashby v. White established the principle that individuals should not be prevented from exercising their legal voting or political rights. In this case, the court held that the defendant's actions, which prevented the plaintiff from voting, constituted a violation of his legal rights. Similarly, Brian Crombie's exclusion from the debates may be seen as an attempt to hinder his participation in the electoral process, thus invoking the principles established in Ashby v. White, which guarantees a complainant a remedy at law.

2. Relevant Ontario Laws and Statutes:

o False light libel occurs when someone is portrayed in a misleading or false manner that is highly offensive to a reasonable person. By excluding Brian Crombie from the debates, the organizers and moderators may have misrepresented him to the public, placing him in a false light. This misrepresentation has harmed his reputation and subjected him to public ridicule or contempt, thereby constituting false light libel under Ontario law.

o The Statute of Monopolies, An Act concerning Monopolies, and Dispensation with penal laws, etc., R.S.O. 1897, c. 323, prohibits anti-competitive behavior and unfair practices that may restrict competition in the marketplace. Brian Crombie's exclusion from the debates was also an attempt to stifle competition in the electoral arena by limiting voters' exposure to alternative candidates and viewpoints.

As a result of the debate organizers and sponsors actions these debates were partisan and an underhanded political contribution in an effort to circumvent prohibitions on non-individual corporate contributions of goods and services to the candidates that were allowed to participate.

Brian Crombie’s exclusion is completely inappropriate, especially when polls showed him within a week of registering on April 25, 2024 (a day prior to the close of nominations) at 6% and then two weeks later at 9%, exhibiting the attention and momentum of his campaign.

Mr. Crombie has an extensive record of policy statements on his website, on social media, on his daily radio show on Mississauga's Sauga 960 AM and on YouTube. It is astounding that CBC appears not to have reviewed his website, watched his video or listened to his podcasts or radio show.

The restriction of participation to only elected Councillors by these debate organizers and sponsors shows a complete lack of understanding of Canadian’s distrust with career politicians and gatekeepers. It is no wonder voter turnout in the 2022 Mississauga municipal election had sunk to 21.8%.

A similar violation of US campaign laws has been alleged by Independent Presidential Candidate Robert Kennedy for his exclusion from their current election debates. However in Ontario, similarly aggrieved individuals are not limited to using election or broadcasting laws to seek a remedy, they have an many other legal procedures and potential remedies available, including those noted herein.

Boosting the Fitness of Neurons Against Aging and Neurodegeneration

Researchers at Duke University Medical Center discover a mechanism to enhance the fitness of cells against aging and neurodegenerative diseases. This finding will pave the way for novel therapeutic approaches in neuroprotection against aging-related disorders and neurodegeneration.

Durham, North Carolina, USA - April 30, 2024 -  A research study by scientists at Duke University Medical Center uncovered activities of a target, called Ranbp2 that remodel the expression of chaperones in neuronal tissues prone to photo-damage and accelerated aging. The work of researchers led by Dr. Paulo Ferreira at Duke indicates that the remodeling of a network of chaperones by Ranbp2 preordains the protection of certain cells and tissues against noxious stressors, which compromise neuronal function and survival.

Chaperones belong to a family of diverse proteins, which play essential but complementary roles in maintaining the homeostasis of proteins in cells. Chaperones prevent the malfunctioning, damage, clumping, and deposits of proteins by associating with substrates and by promoting their stability. Chaperones also facilitate the proper degradation (turnover) of proteins. Impairment of protein homeostasis that causes protein deposits is a hallmark feature of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Alzheimer's, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's, and other diseases. Notably, aging also subdues the induction of chaperones. This outcome is thought to compromise cellular fitness and how cells cope against a wide spectrum of environmental stressors.

The researchers at Duke found that loss of a foldase activity linked to Ranbp2 induces the robust up-regulation of a subset of chaperones, called Crystallins. In addition, they found that the induction of Crystallins leads to a decline of proteins targeted for degradation with aging. Crystallins are conspicuously soluble, and they provide lifelong transparency and structural stability to the lens of the eye, where they predominate. Photodamage of the lens Crystallins leads to cataracts and vision impairment with aging.

The study found that basal levels of expression of Crystallins are found in other tissues, such as those lining the back of the eye - the retina and the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE). These tissues are critical for the initiation and processing of vision before visual signals are transmitted to the brain. These tissues are also highly prone to photodamage with aging. The confluence of these factors with genetic predispositions is associated with AMD disease, a prevalent neurodegenerative and blindness disease of the elderly.

The current findings uncover novel approaches for targeting therapeutically selective activities of Ranbp2 to enable the induction of critical chaperones and to promote cellular fitness. The research work indicates that the chaperones, Crystallins, will enhance the protection of the retina and RPE from damage, and improper degradation and clumping of proteins triggered by photo-oxidative stressors. These effects of Crystallins' induction are anticipated to prevent or to delay the onset and progression of malfunction and degeneration of these tissues, and thereby preserve vision.

Printzone Facilitates RTA Approvals for Vehicle Branding in Dubai

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 19, 2024 — Printzone Advertising LLC is a car branding service provider in Dubai. For businesses looking for vehicle branding in Dubai and services to get RTA permits and approvals, Printzone offers a wide range of car wrapping services along with RTA approval for vehicle wrap designs in Dubai.

In a competitive city like Dubai, businesses tend to explore different options for marketing and advertising. If cost-effectiveness is taken into consideration, then car branding Dubai services cost way less than creating big billboards for advertising and marketing. However, the process of vehicle branding in Dubai itself has multiple steps and paperwork.

Recognizing the challenges businesses face in navigating the RTA approval process, Printzone has positioned itself as a trusted partner for vehicle branding in Dubai. The company's in-depth knowledge of RTA regulations and extensive experience in the industry allow them to simplify the entire process on behalf of their clients.
"At Printzone, we understand that our clients are focused on growing their businesses, and the last thing they want to worry about is the bureaucratic red tape involved in vehicle branding," said a representative of Printzone. "That's why we take care of all the documentation, paperwork, and communication with the RTA, ensuring a hassle-free experience for our clients."

RTA Approvals and Vehicle Branding in Dubai
According to the RTA guidelines, businesses must obtain a vehicle advertising license before they can utilize their vehicles for promotional purposes. This license is granted after an RTA officer assesses the proposed design to ensure compliance with the established laws and regulations.
The approval process also takes into account factors such as the percentage of color used in the graphics. If the design exceeds 30% color, additional approval from the Dubai Police is required.

For real estate-related vehicle branding, Dubai businesses must also obtain a design approval certificate from the Department of Land and Property. Similarly, companies advertising rental vehicles must present the RTA with a contract from the rental firm along with the necessary documentation.

Printzone’s Complete RTA Permit Approval Services
Printzone's expertise lies in guiding their clients through time-consuming and complicated requirements, handling all the necessary paperwork and communicating with the RTA on their behalf.

From initial consultation to final approval, the company's team of experts guides clients through the entire process, ensuring that all the necessary requirements are met and the necessary permits are obtained.

"The first step in the RTA approval process is understanding the specific guidelines and regulations that apply to vehicle branding," explained Printzone’s representative. "Our team verifies that the suggested branding design, content, and placement comply with Dubai's RTA regulations."

Once the design is approved, Printzone handles the submission of all the required documentation to the RTA, including application forms, vehicle registration details, and any other paperwork. The company's dedicated team follows up with the RTA, tracking the progress of the application and addressing any queries or concerns that may arise.
“Obtaining RTA approval can be a time-consuming and complex process, but with Printzone, our clients don't have to worry about it,” the representative continued. "We take care of everything, from start to finish, so our clients can focus on running their business while we handle the paperwork."

Printzone's comprehensive services have helped the company gain many clients in recent years. As more businesses in Dubai use vehicle branding as a cost-effective advertising tool and look for reliable providers for complete vehicle branding solutions in Dubai, Printzone's growth is expected to continue in the coming years.
