Inray Industriesoftware Gmbh Releases the New Version 4.13 of the OPC Router with Plug-Ins Heidenhain, SAP HANA and Influx
The Industry 4.0 Software from inray Industriesoftware GmbH, the OPC Router, was enhanced with three new plug-ins that add new possible connections to production systems.
Schenefeld, Germany., September 15, 2019 -- Inray releases a new version of its Industry 4.0 datahub OPC Router. In the new version three new plug-ins are available. The OPC Router connects different systems and enables the graphical configuration of the dataflow between the systems. Flexible trigger options allow effective industry 4.0 data connections to be established.
The newly available plug-ins are the SAP HANA plug-in, the Heidenhain plug-in, and the Influx plug-in. With SAP HANA, the OPC Router now has native access to the SAP in-memory database. The SAP HANA database can be used as an independent Big Data database or as a database for SAP systems. In both cases, the OPC Router can extend the applications by exchanging data with the database. If the SAP HANA database is used as a Big Data System, the OPC Router can retrieve data from various systems and transfer it to the Big Data environment. On the other hand, results from Big Data queries and algorithms can be transferred back to automation systems to control and optimize processes. If the database is used as a substructure for an SAP system, the OPC Router can implement an SAP coupling via the new plug-in by direct access to the SAP database tables and functions and thus offers a further alternative to the other SAP interfaces that can already be connected.
With the new Heidenhain plug-in, Heidenhain CNC controls can now also be integrated into production environments according to the Industry 4.0 idea. The OPC Router implements the Heidenhain standard interface and can, therefore, access a large number of Heidenhain controllers. The access takes place on data point level. The available data points can be queried by browsing the Heidenhain controller and then graphically connected to other systems such as SQL, OPC, MQTT, etc. as usual.
Another new plug-in is the Influx Plug-in. The connection to InfluxDB makes it easy to transfer data from production systems to the leading time-series database. All flexibilities regarding fields and tables are implemented and the assignment takes place in the graphical connection designer. The analysis of time series data can thus also be extended to data that was previously not available, or only available in the company's systems. The Influx database can load and display the transferred data at maximum query speed, as it is designed for the processing of time-sorted data. With the new plug-ins, the OPC Router extends the list of connectable systems by three important systems and thus remains the leading data hub for industry 4.0 in production.
